The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The service place designed for intervention encounters a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable sassa the servicing of all consumers and raise access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
